Pianist Nathan Shubert grew up in Victoria BC where he began playing piano at the age of 12. From the start Nathan’s musical experience has been eclectic, with his first piano lessons covering a range from classical to jazz, pop, and klezmer. Nathan later studied jazz piano with renowned pianist George Essihos before continuing his studies at Vancouver Island University (formerly known as Malaspina University-College) in Nanaimo, and Vancouver Community College.

Though new to the City of Vancouver, Nathan is quickly establishing himself in the music scene and can be found performing regularly with his trio, The Nathan Shubert Trio, which performs a blend of Nathan Shubert’s jazz compositions and arrangements of jazz standards.
