Meet Moses Shubert Parker. Though young, Moses Shubert Parker is full of old spirit and compelling rhythms. Bringing soul-infused blues to Vancouver’s bars and jazz venues, Moses Shubert Parker is the new organ trio in town. Nathan Shubert lends his eclectic musical background and jazz training to the Hammond organ. Joining him are Ryan Moses Lidstone, co-founder of The Wetfoot Collective, on the guitar, and Colin Parker, a strong emerging voice on the Vancouver Jazz scene, on the drums.
From the moment he first heard Jimmy Smith play, Nathan knew that an organ trio was in his own future. It was this inevitability that led to the birth of Moses Shubert Parker. The trio explores the autograph sounds of The Incredible Jimmy Smith and Booker T. & the MGs, infusing the genre with their own considerable talents and personalities.
